Ashleigh Upton
Clinical Psychologist | Director
Ashleigh is a compassionate Clinical Psychologist, with expertise in supporting individuals aged 16 and over with a range of mental health concerns. Ashleigh is registered with AHPRA, a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.​
When not at Nest Health Collective, Ashleigh also works with the Department of Defence, helping defence members with various mental health concerns. Ashleigh has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including private practice, not for profits including headspace, and private hospitals including Ramsay Clinic Northside.
Ashleigh has experience working with individuals facing a broad spectrum of concerns. Ashleigh’s specialty lies in eating disorders and co-occurring mental health such as trauma, substance use, anxiety, and mood disorders. She utilises evidence-based therapies, including Maudsley FBT, ACT, DBT, CBT, CPT, and CBT-E, to deliver a person-centred approach.
Ashleigh has recently completed her PhD at the University of Newcastle, which focused on health literacy, obesity, and disordered eating. She has also completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Australian College of Applied Psychology and Bachelors with Honours in Psychological Science at Bond University.
When not working, Ashleigh enjoys pottering in the garden, baking, spending time with friends, and going for a walk or swim.​

Nest Health Collective offers psychological support for individuals aged 16 and over.
​​Please note: under the current APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2026–2027, the standard 46-60 minute consultation fee is $318. Nest Health Collective strives to enhance the accessibility and affordability of psychological services, reflected in the pricing outlined below.
Initial Appointment
An initial 90min assessment is required for all clients wanting to engage in psychological therapy. During this session, we will go through consent and confidentiality, explore your current concerns, mental health history, and goals for treatment. Together, we will collaborate to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs, which will guide the focus and structure of your therapeutic journey. This session also includes the additional time required for treatment planning and administration.
Fee: $450
Medicare Rebate: $149.05
Private Health Rebates may apply.
Ongoing Appointments
Following the initial assessment, you can continue with 60min individual therapy sessions tailored to your therapy goals. Ongoing sessions are collaborative and include evidence based treatment and can be adjusted over time to reflect changes in your therapy goals and life related stressors.

Yes, if you would like to receive the Medicare rebate a GP will need to organise either a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or Eating Disorder Treatment Plan (EDTP).
If you would like to pay privately without a medicare rebate, you do not need a referral to see us.

We will process your Medicare rebates, the rebate usually comes into your account within 2 business days

A mental health treatment plan (MHTP) is available for individuals wanting to get support with most mental health concerns. The mental health care plan gives you access up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year.
Please contact your GP to organise a MHTP and for questions relating to eligibility criteria.

An eating disorder treatment plan (EDTP) is available for individuals with eating disorder diagnoses and gives you access up to 40 psychology sessions and 20 dietetic sessions per referral year.
